  i can't believe how people in the "organization" can be so cold hearted.. .

  last october, i got an invitation to a friends wedding where i grew up in portland, oregon.

  I bet you dont see your snow shoes again either....

  tbh I wouldnt have made the effort in the 1st place, but that's just me. All the "good" friends I have had while in the "truth" I've lost even while still in ffs. They are all conditional assholes even while you are still "in" from my experiences. Most only want you around for what they can use you for.

  Red watery stuff oozing out of cooking meat aint blood, ...i saw it on a tv program and think they said it was lactic acid. (iirc) if not then it's some other mucle protein...

  i figured i'd start off by just examining the language used in the july 15th, 2011 watchtower, page 15-16, paragraphs 4-7.. apostates are like:.

  The timing of these articles is very poor for me... I've put my foot down and am not going to meetings anymore, my family will now become indoctinated to shun me or else view me with suspicion before i can do any good with my young nephews and nieces to prevent them from getting baptised either early (teenage) or preferably at all.

  So here I am now standing out like a sore thumb, and they will have their minds closed for good it feels like to me... Anyway I couldnt take it anymore so i quit regardless of the timing or the further implications to my family. I cant go back now.

  ok heres a theoretical for you.. first of all i appreciate that not everyone here believes in an all powerful being ie.

  a creator... but... not entertaining moral aspects of such and disagreements that will arise concerning it,.

  what might be a theoretical picture of what might be able to be omnipresent and so on and so forth if the idea of an all powerful creator was so?.

  Not quite sure what you are after but I felt this way about prayer when i gave it some thought about 4 years ago. Prayer would have to travel FASTER than light to be able to work! That thought put the dampers on it doing so for me...

  Now that's NOT to say it isn't possible as light is merely the fastest thing we know exists now, but the odds look slim dont they?

  The quote as already pointed out above is talking about Tyres 70 year devastation prophecy. But it does show the irony as they are happy to come to a rounded approx figure for Tyres 70 years prophecy, but sure as hell not for Jerusalem!!

  Would you say anything?

  i'm in a coffee shop and at the table beside me are two business-cult recruiters trying to get a young lady involved in their pyramid scheme.. unfortunately i have to leave (work related) before the recruiters leave, so i don't even have an opportunity to act on this specific situation.

  that said, if you could would you say anything to protect the young lady from these scam artists?.

  The old cliche of "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is" ...comes to mind.

  I'd be inclined to lean in there on my way past them and say it making sure you get eye contact with her as you say it. Then walk on...

  if i read a passage of scripture and conclude about it something that opposes the wt's view of the same passage, in your mind who has the truth about that passage (i.e.

  Ask friend same point again nicely. Thought stopping and cognitive dissonance are preventing him arriving at a conclusion plus he knows its a trick question. Freedom of thought is something we only appreciate when we realise we dont have it. JW's by and large do not realise they dont have it, or else accept the company byline for giving it up or not desiring it in the 1st place.
